疗愈故事(8)-水果和土豆永远不会让你发胖 Healing Stories-Fruits won’t make you fat

 

自从改成大量生食为主的水果和蔬菜的植物饮食以来,我的身体发生了巨大的改变。许多人担心大量水果会导致体重增加,我想说水果永远不会让你发胖!

 

我在改变饮食结构之前:

-      接近160磅

-      饮食结构是高动物蛋白低碳水化合物的饮食,很少吃水果

-      每天喝加黄油的咖啡

-      总是感到浮肿、沉重感和不舒服

-      总胆固醇指标约为225

 

在改成大量生食、大量水果和植物饮食以来

-      体重稳定在128磅左右

-      饮食以生食、大量水果和蔬菜为主

-      不再喝咖啡,每天空腹喝西芹汁

-      整个人变得更轻盈结实

-      总胆固醇约为160

 

要知道,除了饮食结构改变之外,其他的生活方式并没有改变。当我改成如上所述的高碳水化合物植物饮食结构时,不做任何运动我就减了30磅的体重。我每天多餐,饮食中至少70%是水果,还有很多土豆。

 

真的,请相信,维持低脂饮食,吃大量水果(和土豆)真的是健康有效的减肥方式,生酮饮食法实际上无法帮助我们真正安全健康地减肥。

 

我现在回到了十年前生病前的体重,那时我每天跑7-8英里。我的康复之路依然在继续,但是我希望告诉你,如果你害怕或担心水果或土豆等高碳水饮食会导致体重增加,请完全放下你的忧虑和担心。

Something I’ve never really talked about, is how much my body has changed since going high-raw, high-fruit, plant-based. I don’t like to necessarily focus on appearance or weight, but lately I’ve heard so many fears from clients about gaining weight while eating so much fruit. But I’m here to say that it doesn’t have to be that way!

.

Me before:

* pushing 160lbs

* eating high-fat, low-carb, high animal protein diet with very little fruit

* drinking daily coffee with butter in it

* always felt puffy, heavy, and uncomfortable

* total cholesterol around 225

 

Me recently:

* stable around 128lbs

* following @medicalmedium lifestyle, with TONS of fruit and raw foods

* kicked the caffeine habit altogether, and drinking daily #celeryjuice instead

* feeling lighter and tighter

* total cholesterol around 160

 

Mind you, I didn’t change much besides my diet. Eating VERY high carb, I managed to lose 30 pounds, without exercising. I never go hungry. I eat multiple times per day. At least 70% fruit! And plenty of potatoes too!

Yes, it’s possible to lose weight while eating fruit (and potatoes). Yes, it’s possible to lose weight while on @medicalmedium protocols. Don’t let them tell you that you need to eat keto or whatever, to shed pounds.

I’m now at the weight I was over 10 years ago, before I got sick, when I was running 7-8 miles every day. I’ve got a ways to go yet, with my healing, but I wanted to at least address the weight thing, in case you’re reading this right now, still afraid of fruit, or worried that going plant-based will derail your weight loss goals.
